Road Improvement Programme CASE STUDY
Our client was engaged by Highways England to deliver a number of road projects in this programme of work.
Once again, the client placed a strong emphasis on working collaboratively.
What we did
People and change plan
Initially we worked with the senior management team to develop a tailored approach to organisation and people development.
We held a workshop with all managers involved in the work and we gained buy-in to the key objectives and measures of success. We then built a people and change plan designed to facilitate the strategic objectives and we developed a measurement tool to check the temperature of cultural progress on a six-monthly basis.
Areas we measured were:
- Inspirational leadership.
- Sensible structures facilitating accountability, efficient use of skills and communication.
- Collaborative working.
- High performing teams.
- Working safely with health & well-being in mind.
- Equality and diversity.
To time, within cost
The projects are ongoing and our work continues, but the six-monthly measurement tool shows that progress is being made in all strategic areas.
The client continues to be happy with delivery of plan to time and within cost.
